Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support coordinated outreach, recruitment, and program visibility efforts for the CARE Hub and Wee Care Center by developing, coordinating, and disseminating marketing and communication materials.
  • Create print and digital resources, including flyers, brochures, newsletters, digital signage, website content, email communications, and other promotional materials that increase awareness of programs, services, events, and available resources.
  • Manage social media and digital communications for both programs by developing engaging content, maintaining communication calendars, monitoring audience engagement, and ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  • Utilize Qualtrics, social media insights, website analytics, and other assessment tools to collect, track, and analyze outreach and engagement data.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations that evaluate communication effectiveness, measure program visibility, and inform continuous improvement of outreach and recruitment strategies.
  • Implement targeted outreach and engagement strategies that increase awareness and utilization of CARE Hub and Wee Care Center services among student-parents and the broader campus community.
  • Represent both programs at campus events, orientations, resource fairs, presentations, and outreach activities while fostering collaborative relationships with campus and community partners.
  • Support outreach campaigns, program communications, and engagement initiatives that promote access to basic needs resources and affordable childcare.
  • Ensure communication efforts remain consistent with CARE Hub, Wee Care Center, and CCAMPIS program goals, messaging, and objectives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field and one year of related experience; OR any combination of education and experience related to the summary of duties totaling three years.
  • Experience creating marketing materials, managing social media or digital communications, coordinating outreach initiatives, or supporting marketing and communication efforts.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of graphic design and content creation software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar applications.
  • Skills: Skills in developing and producing digital and print marketing materials
  • Skills: Skills in written, verbal, and visual communication
  • Skills: Skills in using computers and software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, email, internet, cloud storage, and social media management tools.
  • Skills: Skills in collecting, organizing, and interpreting outreach and engagement data.
  • Skills: Skills in using Qualtrics or similar survey assessment platforms.
  • Abilities: Ability to design and create marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, digital graphics, social media content, newsletters, and promotional campaigns to increase program awareness and engagement.
  • Abilities: Ability to collect, organize, and analyze outreach and engagement data using spreadsheets, databases, and assessment tools to track performance, measure outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education, student affairs, nonprofit organizations, or human services.
  • Experience managing organizational social media accounts and developing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience creating print and digital marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software.
  • Experience with photography, videography, or storytelling for marketing and outreach purposes.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, university branding guidelines, and inclusive communication practices.
  • Familiarity with UVU systems, student engagement initiatives, or programs supporting student success, basic needs, or early childhood education.
  • Experience using Qualtrics or similar survey, assessment, and reporting platforms.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing engagement data to inform outreach and communication strategies.
  • Experience preparing reports or dashboards using data visualization or analytics tools.
