Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the strategy and content for assigned NCAA championship social media accounts, focusing on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and emerging platforms, with an emphasis on: Student-athlete storytelling
  • Championship event social strategy development and execution
  • Driving season-long fan engagement with key digital and social platforms
  • Growing the NCAA brand and public perception
  • Assisting with revenue-generating opportunities
  • Additional sport-specific social media community management assignments TBD.
  • Create captivating multimedia content for social platforms, including engaging graphics, videos, photography, immersive audio, and written narratives that bring NCAA championships to life.
  • Immerse yourself in assigned sport communities, becoming a passionate advocate and trusted voice to drive stakeholder goals and enhance fan experiences.
  • Take the helm as the public voice for multiple high-profile NCAA social media accounts, exercising editorial judgment to maintain the organization’s reputation through thoughtful, timely posts.
  • Collaborate closely with TNT Sports (Warner Brothers Discovery) to optimize the NCAA’s digital rights partnership, creating a seamless and engaging content ecosystem across all platforms that amplifies the NCAA brand.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years digital and/or social media experience.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Estimated Travel Required: <20%
  • This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Current work environment is hybrid; 2 days in the office and 3 days are remote.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or related industries (preferred)
  • Experience in committee and project team decision-making process (preferred)
