Media Relations & Crisis: Establish a program-wide media plan, serve as the primary media contact, train athletes and staff, and lead crisis communications when needed.
Publications & Production: Schedule and produce game notes, programs, media guides, and coordinate photography for all department publications.
Digital & Brand Ops: steward the athletics website and social channels, publish stories, manage NCAA reporting, and supervise the team responsible for online content and weekly coverage.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Media Relations: Develop and implement a media relations plan for 15 intercollegiate programs; serve as point person for media inquiries; provide media relations advice and training for athletes, coaches, and staff.
Publications & Photography: Direct production schedules for all publications and coordinate photography needs; develop game notes, programs, and sport media guides.
Crisis Communications & Hall of Fame: Work with athletics and university leadership in crisis situations; coordinate crisis communications; manage Hall of Fame nominations and eligibility.

Website and Social Media

Develop, supervise, and maintain the WSU Athletics website and social media; write/edit content; publish press releases and manage digital storytelling and brand presence.
Oversee daily site operations, ensure up-to-date information for prospective student-athletes, parents, alumni, and fans; manage on-line Sports Network coverage and NCAA/Northern Sun reporting.

Staff & Budget

Supervise staff, graduate assistants, interns, and game-day workers; develop daily work plans and training; oversee budgets for marketing, branding, and archiving.
Develop and maintain the sports information budget; participate in budget planning for department marketing and archival projects.
Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and professional development.
