Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create press releases, op-eds, and other materials to expand communication related to Mi Familia Vota’s mission.
  • Work alongside team members to build the statewide communications plan for Mi Familia Vota
  • Build a communications timeline to support all organizational efforts
  • Create social media content and advise the team on the best strategies to expand MFV’s messaging
  • Managed membership lists and collaborated with team members to create digital newsletters.
  • Develop content and work with the Communications team to ensure brand and message consistency
  • Track, report, and analyze all metrics and modify plans based on learnings

Requirements

  • Experience in external communications and media relations.
  • Experience creating materials, messaging, talking points, and social media content.
  • Experience working in campaign settings or advocacy-related work.
  • Digital solid copywriting skills (ability to write for email, web, and social media).
  • Experience developing and executing social media engagement strategies across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and experience using various social media aggregators and reporting tools.
  • Experience in planning and executing paid digital media advertising campaigns (search, social media, retargeting, list chaperoning, mobile ads, etc.)—the ability to be creative and responsive in a fast-paced political and digital environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including strong writing skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team-centered environment;
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced work environment;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
