Responsibilities

  • Own the editorial identity of Apple TV, defining the brand's social voice, creative standards, and content philosophy across all owned social channels, in highly-matrixed collaboration with creative teams
  • Set and evolve the creative direction for the @appletv social ecosystem, ensuring the accounts function as evolving editorial platforms to fuel social conversation and fandoms
  • Establish and maintain the brand's point of view across entertainment, pop culture, and sports conversations, knowing when and how to show up meaningfully and differently to break through and capture attention for Apple TV
  • Champion a social-first creative mindset across the broader marketing organization, educating, inspiring, and elevating how teams think about collaborative work
  • Lead holistic social campaign development across Apple TV, developing audience-first campaign frameworks that drive fandoms, conversation, and business results
  • Develop, concept, and lead content capture initiatives that generate significant word of mouth and cultural momentum
  • Define and drive innovation in social creative: formats, platform mechanics, editorial series, talent integrations, IRL extensions and activations, and real-time opportunities
  • Own the full content ecosystem for @appletv, from evergreen brand storytelling to title campaign beats to live sports moments, ensuring coherence and intentionality at every touchpoint
  • Lead and manage the social agency relationship, setting the vision, inspiring ambition, holding the creative bar high, and driving accountability for innovative, business-driving output
  • Partner closely with internal creative teams, title marketing leads, sports marketing, and international teams to ensure social strategy is deeply integrated and informed

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a demonstrable track record of building cultural moments and driving massive word of mouth for entertainment, sports, or highly consumer-centric brands
  • Deep subject-matter expertise across social platforms. You know what formats work, what's emerging, what's dying, and you bring a sharp, proactive point of view on how to stay ahead
  • A strong, instinctive editorial sensibility. You think like an Editor in Chief, you have a clear vision for brand voice, content hierarchy, and what earns attention in a crowded feed
  • Proven experience leading and managing agency teams, with the ability to inspire innovation, set a high creative bar, and redirect work with clarity and conviction
  • Extensive experience across brand storytelling, title campaign social, and live event or sports social. You understand that each requires a different posture and you move fluidly between them
  • Strong command of social analytics and data. You use numbers to sharpen your intuition, validate creative bets, and tell a compelling story about ROI and business impact
  • Exceptional communicator, presenter, and creative collaborator. You pitch with conviction, and balance humility with your confidence. You read the room expertly and bring senior leaders and external partners along on the journey

Preferred

  • A sophisticated understanding of internet culture, meme ecosystems, and zeitgeist content.
  • You know what's resonant before it peaks, and you know how a brand participates authentically
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence indirectly across a large, matrixed organization
  • Experience collaborating with many high-touch stakeholders with professionalism, creativity, and discretion
  • Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced, fluid environments with competing demands and high-stakes deadlines
