Alumni Relations Communications Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Alumni Relations Team: Serve as an integral member of the Alumni Relations Team in support of efforts to: Deepen connection and engagement across the King’s Schools alumni community.
• Drive financial support among alumni, their family and friends primarily in relation to upcoming Capital Campaigns for King’s Schools.
• Support alumni-related fundraising activities and collaborate with stakeholders on opportunities that will foster greater fundraising.
• Enhance King’s alumni awareness and interest through a wide variety of alumni-focused communications that reach a broad scope of alumni spanning seven decades.
• Strategize communications to align with alumni interest and areas of involvement from when they attended King’s Schools.
• Participate in creative and strategic planning meetings for campaigns and projects.
• Communications: Create alumni-oriented copy for all marketing/fundraising channels (print, digital, video, email, web, social, etc.) in collaboration with the Resource Advancement Marketing team, aligning with CRISTA’s goals and values in representing the respective voices of King’s Schools and CRISTA Ministries.
• Coordinate content creation for the Alumni Relations Program, acting as editor, writer, and proofreader.
• Assist with design execution in coordination with the Resource Advancement Marketing team, ensuring alignment with King’s and CRISTA’s visual profiles.
• Employ best practices such as planning, researching, interviewing, and writing all material which will be used for alumni and alumni donor communications, across platforms such social media, email, print and video for marketing/fundraising efforts.

• Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
• Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
• Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
• Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
• Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent (degrees in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related). Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• 2-5 years’ experience in fundraising communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
