Together We Rise, Jamaica

When Hurricane Melissa struck, countless families in Jamaica lost everything, including homes, livestock, even hope. But not their spirit. Jamaicans are built from sunshine and stubborn faith, and we don’t stay down for long. Each digital print you purchase helps families rise again stronger, prouder, and a little more unstoppable than before. WHO WE ARE Together We Rise, Jamaica (TWRJ) is a digital storytelling and art platform that transforms the resilience of Jamaican families into limited-edition digital prints and impact stories. Each image is inspired by a real photo captured during or after Hurricane Melissa, revealing moments of heartbreak, hope, and rebirth. We’re Jamaican artists creating digital art that rebuilds lives. When you buy a digital print, you’re not just collecting art... You’re collecting courage. You’re collecting community. You’re helping someone start again. OUR MISSION To turn tragedy into triumph through creativity, storytelling, and compassion; one digital print, one rebuilt home, one act of kindness at a time. OUR STORY Hi, I’m Cornelius Colin McNab, founder of TWRJ. It all began with one family: my uncle, his wife, and their 3-year-old son in our family home in Black River, St. Elizabeth. Hurricane Melissa hit like a nightmare no one could wake from. A Category 5 monster. The strongest ever to strike Jamaica. In one day, everything was gone: the roof, the livestock, the roads... even the laughter. But you can’t wash away a Jamaican’s faith. With the help of generous donors on GoFundMe, my family began to rebuild. And as the donations went up, so did hope, and so did something inside me. I realized this wasn’t just our story. It was Jamaica’s story. A story of strength, love, and people who refuse to quit. That’s how TWRJ was born; a place where devastation is transformed into art, gratitude, and renewal. We partner with Caribbean artists to create inspiring digital pieces that tell real stories and make a real difference.
