Job Summary

Drive BYU Arts Partnership media content creation and education-focused storytelling across events, workshops, and advocacy, supporting teachers and students.

  • Own production from concept to publish for events, marketing, and instructional materials.
  • Must-have: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) with photography/video production.
  • Standout: Experience collaborating with educators and leading professional learning experiences.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce and manage creative content used for events, marketing, documentation, instructional materials, teacher resources, lesson plans, websites, advocacy, and other purposes.
  • Create storyboards, then film, edit, and publish videos.
  • Write scripts as needed
  • Capture photographs and video at events
  • Film/record people in interviews
  • Document the work of the BYU Arts Partnership and organize documentation
  • Apply principles of film making genre’s and purposes for a variety of desired outcomes
  • Develop and provide professional development events, such as workshops, as requested, including planning for schedules, space, and materials.
  • Convene and conduct professional learning experiences, including conferences, workshops, and Zoom meetings for arts educators and K-6 teachers.
  • Teach media arts workshops in schools for faculty development and provide individual mentoring in technology/media arts for teachers in BAP programs as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in media arts or related field (must be completed by start date)
  • Photography and video production
  • Application of digital assets for advocacy and marketing
  • Proficient in Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro)
  • Technology skills for Microsoft Word and Excel, Google apps, PowerPoint
  • Exceptional writing skills for communications and materials
  • Event planning

Preferred

  • Data-based decision making- creating, analyzing, and applying surveys and feedback forms
  • Applying educational research
  • Proficient in After Effects, Qualtrics, Canva
  • Curriculum mapping
  • Understanding of public-school culture and the arts
  • Professional experience in an art form
  • Advocacy and Marketing skills
