Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership in the development and execution of marketing strategy for the Confection (Chocolate & Sugar), Dairy and Ice Cream categories, incorporating brands and customer segments as relevant and in alignment with broader Food North America business objectives.
  • Partner collaboratively with broader marketing teams to inform category value propositions, customer engagement strategies and portfolio gaps.
  • Partner strategically with cross functional teams to understand and apply customer needs, competitor intelligence, market trends and consumer behaviors to drive where to play and how to win decisions for the category, improve overall positioning and advance customer value capture.
  • Drive customer experience for the category, developing and activating differentiated customer value propositions in partnership with broader teams.
  • Provide guidance on the development and delivery of marketing trainings, events and collateral for the category.
  • Leverage and interpret syndicated, panel and primary consumer research to generate actionable insights and develop compelling, data-driven narratives that inform strategy, customer engagement and commercial decision making.
  • Shape category growth targets and identify incremental opportunities by analyzing market dynamics, brand and company performance and aligning insights to Cargill’s ingredient portfolio capabilities.
  • Identify and define growth opportunities within the category by analyzing market dynamics and consumer behavior to uncover the most attractive areas for growth including identifying high-growth customers and companies with winning value propositions and long-term potential, aligning Cargill’s capabilities to where we can win.
  • Partner with Sales to drive customer engagement, leading customer conversations on category challenges and opportunities and orchestrating the Cargill capabilities network. Equip go-to-market teams with category knowledge, insights, and tools to support customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Food Marketing experience

Preferred

  • Cross-functional collaboration and leadership experience
  • Experience executing marketing strategies and customer plans aligned with business objectives
  • Experience in the confectionery, candy, or dairy industry
