Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple Ad Program Directors in the planning, coordination, and execution of weekly and monthly ad programs.
  • Assist in compiling promotional details including pricing, vendor funding, item selection, and merchandising plans.
  • Coordinate with Perishable Specialists to help align weekly promotional plans with overall merchandising strategies.
  • Communicate with distributor Account Managers to support execution of strategic sales initiatives and new product introductions.
  • Support engagement and coordination with national and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) vendors to gather program details, funding opportunities, and promotional participation.
  • Track vendor commitments, promotional timelines, and program deliverables to ensure accurate execution.
  • Assist in reviewing ad proofs and promotional materials for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with approved plans.
  • Help monitor promotional performance and compile reporting to support post-event analysis and future planning.
  • Maintain organized documentation of promotional calendars, vendor agreements, and ad program records.
  • Provide cross-functional support to merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless program execution.

Requirements

  • Grocery experience in retail sales, management, merchandising, category management, and/or vendor management.
  • Familiarity with trends, brands, and items within this space is a plus.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Reporting Platforms
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, specifically in persuasion, negotiation, and interpersonal relation both written and verbal.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Close attention to details.
