Responsibilities

• Craft media strategies, lead campaigns from concept to execution and deliver standout media results that elevate the visibility and reputation of our clients
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national, local and trade journalists, editors, and producers
• Assist with program strategies and presentation development for existing clients and new prospects
• Write and distribute press releases, pitches, and media kits that reflect clients' messaging.
• Identify and leverage current trends and news to proactively bring clients earned opportunities relevant to their brand
• Lead internal and client meetings relating to earned media efforts and manage immediate next steps

Preferred

• 5-8 years of previous experience in Public Relations agency or in-house and a B.A. in Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline
• A proven track record of securing coverage in lifestyle and news media outlets.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with media contacts
• A deep interest in current trends and culture and the ability to leverage this to deliver media results
• Strong analytical and written skills to develop and execute effective media strategies
• Ability to work in a collaborative, creative, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
• Experience with media platforms such as Cision, Muck Rack and News Exposure
