Job Summary

Support planning and execution of Children's Institute programs, Indie Next communications, and multi-channel outreach while assisting Fall planning and database upkeep.

  • Plan and assist with Children's Institute with the Associate Director.
  • Execute Indie Next mailings and reminder newsletters.
  • Support Fall Regional Planning and Fall Preview and update the internal Bookstores/Indie Next database.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Associate Director in the planning and preparation of Children's Institute.
  • Executes Indie Next Mailings and Creates Indie Next reminder newsletters.
  • Assists Associate Director in Fall Regional Planning and in-house Fall Preview
  • Mails out ARCs and promotional items to Booksellers on an as needed basis.
  • Assist in updating internal database of Bookstores and Indie Next information

Requirements

  • Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
