Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create presentation decks for both in and out-of-house meetings.
  • Assist in coordinating events and marketing promotions for national library conferences.
  • Assist in developing and creating social media content, advise team on trends, and communicate performance to team.
  • Light design work: familiarity with Canva or other design tools a plus
  • Maintaining databases including reviews, awards, and promotional materials.
  • Provides general team support, including content planning and organization, website collection updates, and more.
  • Attend seasonal and recurring meetings with the team.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge preferred.

Requirements

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
  • Candidates must be available to work 21 hours per week across 3 or 4 days, from February 8 to April 16, 2027, at the location specified in the job description.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
  • A passion for books is highly valued!
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, excitement to learn, and an enthusiastic, creative self-starter.
  • Passion for books, publishing, social media, and marketing.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Sprout a plus.
