Responsibilities

• Build our own social media following and engagement through working with professional social media & comms strategists.
• Film and edit short-form (up to 3 min) creative videos that will help mobilize students for Pennsylvania's 2026 elections.
• Film and edit short-ish form (up to 5 min) creative content to educate and mobilize Gen-Z on YouTube
• Create static content and designs that will engage and educate student voters.
• Build regional social media strategies and amplify key content to engage youth voters around PA's 2026 elections.
• Fellows will spend 15-20 hours a week mobilizing on their campus by filming, editing, developing concepts, engaging their followings, and talking to students about the importance of the upcoming elections.
• Fellows will be expected to produce and post a minimum of 8 pieces of short form content per week.
• Content will be shared on our statewide Project 26 accounts including Instagram ( TikTok ( and YouTube ( students' personal and/or influencer accounts, and campus-specific social accounts.

Requirements

• Be comfortable being on camera
• Understand the correct tone & pace for short-form video
• Create content that sounds natural & organic, rather than scripted & pre-informed
• Seek out and consume noteworthy content and current events– synthesis and interpret that for a young audience
• Ensure brand consistency across platforms
• Stay current with pop culture and politics-related trends on social media and be able to adapt them to our P26 brand
• Demonstrate an ability to condense information into under a minute in a way that is interesting to those with limited knowledge and/or interest of politics
• Have a passion for using political engagement to build a future when Gen-Z can thrive and be ready to jump in and inspire young people to get involved
• Be excited to think outside the box and to ideate and innovate to find the most exciting and effective content to mobilize youth voters in your region
• Be eager to talk to as many students as possible (and be comfortable talking to a lot of strangers/potential volunteers) in person and online
