Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Your regional priorities, target segments, and channel choices are derived from the global segment strategy, brand positioning, and channel plan — not set independently.
  • Global marketing owns brand positioning, messaging architecture, and visual identity. You own local adaptation within those standards, and you make the case for an exception when the market genuinely needs one.
  • You work through the global channel leads rather than building parallel capability in region: you brief them, prioritise North American demand into their roadmaps, and hold them to delivery.
  • You adopt the global measurement framework and metric definitions, so North America, the other regions, and the centre are reading the same numbers.
  • You are the region’s voice inside global marketing: when North America needs something the global plan does not currently allow for, you make that case rather than quietly working around it.
  • Where regional commercial priorities and global strategy diverge, you surface the trade-off early to the VP of Marketing and the Managing Director rather than resolving it locally.
  • Own the North America marketing strategy, the annual and quarterly plan, and the regional OKRs across the US and Canada, built from the global segment, brand, and channel strategy.
  • Own regional registrations and regional CAC, and the forecast behind both, with a clear view of what is driving each.
  • Steward the largest regional marketing investment in the business: set the efficiency bar, push for incrementality testing over last-click comfort, and reallocate when the evidence says to.
  • Decide the regional priorities — which segments, industries, corridors, and customer types matter most — and make the case for them in global planning and budget allocation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in growth, performance, or regional marketing, ideally in financial services, payments, fintech, or another multi-market business.
  • You have owned an acquisition number end to end — volume, CAC, and payback — at meaningful spend, and you can build a forecast and defend it.
  • You are rigorous about measurement: comfortable with attribution’s limits, and experienced running incrementality or geo tests rather than trusting platform-reported numbers.
  • You have delivered through a matrix, influencing peer teams and senior commercial stakeholders without direct authority over either, and you are comfortable being accountable to a functional leader while a regional P&L owner depends on your results.
  • You are comfortable marketing to both business and consumer audiences, or you have a clear grasp of how differently they discover, evaluate, and buy.
  • Deep working knowledge of the US market and its channel landscape; experience with Canada is a strong plus.
  • You have adapted global campaigns and brand platforms into a specific market, and you have the judgment to know when a market genuinely needs an exception and when it simply wants one.
  • You are a strong communicator who can put one plan in front of a Managing Director and a global channel lead and get both to commit to it, without writing two different versions of it.
  • You have managed and developed a small team, and you enjoy building capability rather than only delivering output.
  • Experience working with a sales team on an SME or mid-market motion is a plus.

  • Experience working with a sales team on an SME or mid-market motion is a plus.
  • Experience in cross-border payments, FX, remittances, or financial services is a plus.
