Job Summary

Own the paid search and social strategy with team leadership and client education, turning plans into measurable campaigns and strong new-business growth.

  • Align with planning and agencies to amplify marketing activity, educate clients, and grow the practice.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee workflow and progress to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure projects are produced completely, correctly, efficiently.
  • Set strategic principles for client search and social initiatives.
  • Develop action plans with metrics and optimization processes.
  • Evaluate and select the full spectrum of search and social alliances and tools.
  • Collaborate with planning, digital planning and outside ad agencies to align paid search and social with marketing activity.
  • Keep clients and agency counterparts informed on industry developments.
  • Grow agency paid search and social business through new business wins and organic growth.
  • Develop intellectual capital by documenting standard processes, case studies, and official agency points-of-view.
  • Build team capability by allocating assignments and fostering talent.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive levels of digital media.
  • Ideally, 5+ years’ experience in focused search and social marketing fields.
  • Experience in organic search.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience in applying search and social marketing to brand-building and direct response initiatives.
  • Strong command of search engine research and reporting resources.
  • Knowledge of syndicated research tools.
  • Deep experience with at least one major bid management tool.
  • Demonstrated discernment and a track record of success in the media/marketing services profession.
  • Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to lead the new business development process and demonstrated ability to win new clients.
  • Ability to build, lead, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Healthy senior relationships with key industry partners and search engines.
