Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex insurance, benefits, and regulatory information into clear, compelling visual storytelling, making dense or technical content engaging, accessible, and easy to navigate.
  • Partner closely with copywriters to create cohesive, sales-driven narratives, ensuring that design and messaging work together to support lead generation, product education, and conversion across long sales cycles.
  • Oversee the design and execution of a wide range of broker- and employer-facing materials, including pitch decks, sell sheets, landing pages, email campaigns, digital ads, and ABM initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain visual systems and design frameworks that ensure consistency, scalability, and brand integrity across campaigns and channels.
  • Collaborate with strategy, media, and analytics teams to ensure creative is insight-driven, audience-centric, and optimized for performance and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) and compliance teams to ensure all creative is accurate, approved, and aligned with healthcare insurance industry guidelines.
  • Guide and mentor junior designers, providing creative direction, constructive feedback, and support for craft excellence.
  • Present and defend creative work to internal stakeholders and clients, clearly articulating conceptual thinking, design rationale, and business impact.
  • Adapt visual approaches for different audiences—including brokers, HR leaders, benefits managers, and procurement teams—ensuring clarity, credibility, and relevance at every touchpoint.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively-responsible professional experience in visual design, art direction, or creative direction within an advertising agency or in-house agency environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a similar field preferred; experience may be substituted.
  • Prior experience partnering directly with clients to confidently present work, articulate rationale for approach in the context of both business and user needs, and workshop and brainstorm iterative changes to ongoing projects.
  • Prior experience leading creative project teams to produce on-time and quality deliverables.
  • Prior experience working in or alongside healthcare, insurance, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated industries preferred.
  • Deep experience supporting sales enablement campaigns including brand-building, digital/print design, and presentation design as well as the development of cross-channel campaigns.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint/Keynote, and similar specialized design software packages.
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation.
  • Comfort operating with a high level of ownership, autonomy, and accountability.
  • Ability to accept and synthesize feedback quickly while maintaining design integrity.

  • A portfolio showcasing clean, impactful, beautiful B2B, sales enablement, and brand-focused omnichannel campaign work is REQUIRED and should be submitted at the time of application.
