Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop speeches, keynotes, talking points, and written communications for senior leaders supporting omnichannel priorities.
  • Translate complex digital commerce strategies into clear, engaging messaging for internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure consistency of tone, voice, and alignment with Walmart’s broader communications priorities.
  • Assist in preparing leaders for high-visibility events, panels, and industry engagements.
  • Develop briefing materials and anticipate key questions to support thoughtful, confident executive participation.
  • Partner closely with communications leadership to align messaging and positioning.
  • Help shape communications that highlight Walmart’s eCommerce growth, digital discovery, and omnichannel customer experience.
  • Support storytelling that connects business strategy with how customers shop Walmart across digital and physical channels.
  • Work closely with communications leads across Merchandising, Experience, and Wellness to ensure alignment and message consistency.
  • Coordinate inputs from business partners, product teams, and communications colleagues to support integrated storytelling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working across a matrixed organization and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience developing executive speeches, talking points, or high-visibility communications.
  • Understanding of eCommerce, digital retail, or omnichannel customer experiences.
  • Ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
