Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategy for Docusign's technical community platforms (e.g., forums, Discord, community site), ensuring they meet the needs of developers, partners, and technical audiences
  • Design, launch, and manage programs (e.g., MVP programs, community contests, tech talks, office hours) that encourage technical content creation, peer-to-peer support, and deeper platform adoption
  • Collaborate actively with the Support Organization to address inbound questions alongside support moderators on the community forums, and analyze and refine processes using a data-driven approach to mitigate the support burden
  • Monitor, moderate, and analyze actively community discussions, feedback, and sentiment
  • Own the process of synthesizing this data into actionable reports for Product Management, Engineering, and leadership to inform the developer roadmap and improve the developer journey
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Sales Enablement to ensure community programs align with go-to-market strategies and empower technical sales/field teams with community-vetted resources

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical community management, developer relations, or a related role
  • Proven ability to build and moderate a thriving online technical community (e.g., forums, Discord, GitHub)
  • Experience with the developer journey, motivations, and preferred tools (e.g., Modern IDEs, SDKs, APIs, developer content channels)
  • Experience in leveraging community data to inform strategy and demonstrate the ROI of community programs

Preferred

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate authentically with a technical audience
  • Capable of setting clear objectives and managing multiple community programs simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Generative AI (Gen AI) and its impact on the developer workflow (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer)
  • Experience organizing developer-focused virtual events
  • Experience working in an organization transitioning to a platform-first or API-first business model
