Job Summary

Develop, own, and optimize media outreach and partnerships to raise visibility, secure interview opportunities, and coordinate public-engagement programs across multiple audiences.

  • Media Relationships: Build and sustain relationships with outlets, hosts, influencers, and partners to expand reach and opportunities.
  • Program Coordination: Schedule and manage speaking engagements, interviews, and partner events for leadership.
  • Measurement & Reporting: Track outreach, bookings, and outcomes, and provide leadership-ready updates.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct strategic outreach to media outlets, journalists, podcast hosts, producers, influencers, public figures, organizations, churches, ministries, conferences, schools, and prospective partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships that expand PJI's visibility, media presence, speaking opportunities, strategic partnerships, and public engagement initiatives.
  • Write, edit, distribute, and follow up on press releases, media campaigns, organizational announcements, and public affairs initiatives.
  • Secure interviews, media placements, podcast appearances, speaking engagements, guest bookings, partnerships, and other opportunities that advance organizational objectives.
  • Identify, recruit, coordinate, and manage guests, contributors, participants, and partner organizations for media programs, events, campaigns, and special initiatives.
  • Coordinate speaking engagements, interviews, presentations, public appearances, and related logistics for PJI leadership and attorneys.
  • Conduct outreach through phone, email, social media, networking, and other professional communication channels while maintaining consistent follow-up and relationship management.
  • Research and develop new lead sources, media contacts, partnership opportunities, outreach strategies, and engagement channels.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, bookings, media developments, partnerships, and measurable outcomes, providing regular reports to leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing, media, communications, legal, and executive leadership teams to advance organizational priorities and special projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations, media outreach, communications, journalism, booking, fundraising, campaign development, external relations, sales, or related fields
  • Strong writing, editing, and professional communication abilities
  • Experience conducting professional outreach and relationship management
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Professional demeanor and confidence interacting with media professionals, attorneys, executives, public figures, and organizational leaders

Preferred

  • Experience using CRM systems, spreadsheets, outreach tracking tools, or project management platforms
