Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Shape and own the go-to-market strategy for launches, including audience segmentation, narrative, metrics, and cross-functional readiness.
  • Translate positioning into feature level messaging and talk tracks used by sales and partners.
  • Operationalize CareerPlug brand positioning at feature, integration, and product update levels.
  • Own competitive intelligence and market research; track landscape and differentiate.
  • Synthesize customer research and sales feedback into clear positioning implications.
  • Bring competitive/market insights into product and GTM conversations, not marketing alone.
  • Write product content across blogs, product pages, pricing, integration pages, and feature pages.
  • Draft customer-facing emails for product updates; some posts bylined by senior leaders.
  • Build a consistent customer story practice with case studies and short-form stories.
  • Pressure-test feature messaging with sales and partner-facing teams.

Requirements

  • 5 years in B2B SaaS product marketing with demonstrated ownership of GTM strategy and execution
  • Strong writer with samples or a portfolio that demonstrates clear, audience-aware product writing
  • Experience owning competitive intelligence, tracking, synthesizing, and activating it in positioning and messaging decisions
  • Demonstrated experience translating product capabilities into customer-facing content (blog posts, web pages, sales enablement, case studies)
  • Ability to independently pull and interpret marketing and product performance data, such as customer engagement, usage metrics, content performance, competitive signals, and use it to improve creative decisions
  • Experience contributing to and shaping positioning and messaging decisions, as well as executing them
  • Comfort working in modern marketing and design tooling (e.g., Asana, HubSpot, Figma, Loom, Canva) and a willingness to learn what you don’t know
  • Experience interviewing customers and turning their stories into usable assets
  • Ability to manage multiple launches and content workstreams simultaneously without dropping details

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with the franchise industry, either as a marketer who has worked with franchise brands or through direct experience in franchise systems
  • Experience marketing to two-sided or multi-stakeholder audiences (platforms, marketplaces, or software with both a buyer and an end user)
  • Background in or exposure to HR tech, workforce management, or recruiting software
