Job Summary

Own the local advertising portfolio and build ongoing client relationships to sustain a community magazine, balancing print and digital packages with in-person and virtual pitches.

  • Local Advertising Sales: Own the client base and recurring revenue from community businesses.
  • Sales Presentations & Campaigns: Present marketing strategies and close advertising deals across channels.
  • Publication Operations & Growth: Oversee content/operations and drive magazine financial sustainability.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Meet with local business owners to discuss marketing and advertising solutions
  • Sell print and digital advertising packages
  • Present community-focused marketing strategies
  • Build long-term client relationships and recurring accounts
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual sales presentations
  • Manage content and operations of the local publication
  • Ensure financial growth and sustainability of the magazine

Requirements

  • Must live in Montgomery County, Maryland
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Laptop, tablet, or iPad with Zoom capability
  • Availability Monday–Friday during standard business hours

Preferred

  • 1+ year in sales, real estate, insurance, advertising sales, or B2B sales
