Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write crisp, engaging scripts for short-form social media content, including skits, dialogues, hooks, and storytelling formats.
  • Develop content ideas that are trend-aware yet brand-aligned, ensuring originality rather than copying viral formats blindly.
  • Contribute to and help shape social media content strategies with a clear focus on growth metrics (followers, reach, engagement).
  • Create captions, overlays, and narrative flows that enhance video performance and retention.
  • Collaborate with video editors, creators, and marketing teams to ensure written content translates effectively on screen.
  • Understand platform-specific content behavior and tailor scripts accordingly (pacing, tone, length, hooks).
  • Support brand strategy through consistent tone, voice, and messaging across all social content.
  • Analyze what’s working and iterate content formats to continuously improve performance.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, creator formats, and emerging storytelling styles.
  • Act as a strategic marketing lead for assigned clients - shaping positioning, storytelling, and content direction to generate demand and not just engagement.

Requirements

  • Strong writing and scriptwriting skills, especially for short-form video content.
  • Proven understanding of social media growth mechanics and what drives followers increases.
  • Ability to write short skits, dialogues, and punchy narratives that feel natural and platform-native.
  • Experience or strong interest in brand strategy and content-led growth.
  • Sharp sense of hooks, pacing, and audience psychology.
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically - ideas + execution.
  • Comfortable collaborating with creative teams and adapting content based on feedback.
  • Clear communication and ability to articulate content rationale.

Preferred

  • Experience working with creator-led or brand-led social media accounts
  • Understanding of performance-driven content (what converts attention into followers)
  • Familiarity with meme culture, trends, and internet storytelling formats
  • Experience ideating content for startups, consumer brands, or digital-first companies
