Job Summary

Own the social media workflow from planning to execution for the Mannion campaign, including content creation, calendar management, engagement monitoring, and cross-team support.

  • Assist with content creation (video, graphic, and text) including filming and editing
  • Develop weekly media plans with the Social Media Lead and manage the content calendar
  • Monitor engagement and support day-to-day media needs across campaign teams

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor local and national news and online conversations to identify issues/topics that are getting attention across social media platforms
  • Assist with content creation for video, graphic, and text posts, including filming, editing, and captioning
  • Help keep the content calendar up-to-date
  • Work with the Social Media Lead to develop weekly media plans and strategy
  • Monitor engagement and content response across accounts
  • Assist with other day-to-day media needs and provide general support to campaign staff across media, comms, finance, and field teams

Requirements

  • Video and graphic editing experience, specifically in Canva and CapCut (preferably desktop)
  • Adobe experience is a plus but is not required
  • Some experience in writing concise social media copy, especially for Facebook and Instagram
  • A basic understanding of Democratic positions and governmental procedure and language
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
  • Interest in political campaigns, government, public service, or community engagement
