Job Summary

Own Instagram content and community for local food and drink venues, turning daily posts, captions, and partner-driven content into consistent reach and local engagement.

  • Content ownership: plan, create, and publish posts, stories, and reels that match brand voice and elevate independent venues.
  • Engagement & community: daily comments, DMs, local audience-building, and partner venue collaboration.
  • Measurement: use analytics to iterate on content calendars, posting times, and growth of reach and engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • plan, create, and publish engaging Instagram content (posts, stories, reels) that showcases independent food and drink spots and aligns with H15DEN’s brand voice.
  • develop and execute Instagram content calendars
  • write compelling captions
  • optimize posts for reach and engagement
  • monitor performance metrics
  • daily community management, including responding to comments and messages
  • engage with local audiences and partner venues
  • identify relevant trends and user-generated content
  • collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to gather content, refine strategy based on analytics
  • support broader marketing initiatives focused on elevating independent businesses
Requirements
  • Strong social media marketing skills, with hands-on experience managing and growing Instagram accounts for brands or organizations.
  • Ability to develop and execute content strategy, including planning content calendars and aligning posts with marketing goals.
  • Experience with social media optimization (SMO), including best practices for hashtags, posting times, and engagement techniques.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and brand-aligned captions and messages.
  • Familiarity with basic photo and video editing tools and a good visual sense for on-brand, high-quality social content.
  • Comfort using analytics and insights to evaluate performance, report results, and adjust strategy.
  • Ability to work on-site in Long Beach, CA, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or local business marketing is a plus.
  • High school diploma required;
Preferred
  • Coursework or a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
