Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Brand strategy & execution: Develop and lead integrated brand marketing strategies that strengthen brand awareness, engagement, consideration, preference, and reputation while supporting institutional priorities and growth objectives. Partner closely with the Manager, Content and Copy and the Sr. Manager, Program Marketing to ensure cohesion and alignment across brand and program marketing efforts.
  • Planning & prioritization: Own brand marketing roadmaps, campaign calendars, and annual planning efforts, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritization, and effective resource allocation across initiatives.
  • Integrated campaign development: Lead the development and execution of integrated brand campaigns across email, social media, paid media, paid search, web, and other marketing channels, partnering with various stakeholders to ensure a cohesive full-funnel audience experience that maximizes reach, engagement, and brand impact.
  • Assets & storytelling: Partner with internal creative teams, contractors, and agency partners to drive the development of compelling brand messaging, proof points, narratives, and storytelling that clearly communicate DeVry's value proposition, differentiation, and impact.
  • Thought leadership & reputation building: Oversee the strategy and development of videos, testimonials, success stories, and other brand content that elevate DeVry's expertise, credibility, and market presence by showcasing the experiences and achievements of students, alumni, leadership, faculty, and partners.
  • Performance & optimization: Establish success metrics, evaluate campaign and brand marketing effectiveness, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize audience targeting, channel performance, and overall marketing outcomes while informing future strategy, investment decisions, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Research & insights: Monitor brand health, audience sentiment, awareness, consideration, preference, and perception while leveraging consumer insights, competitive intelligence, market research, and campaign performance data to identify emerging trends, audience opportunities, and strategies that strengthen brand positioning and relevance.
  • Brand stewardship: Serve as a champion of the DeVry brand, ensuring consistency across messaging, voice, visual identity, brand standards, and audience experiences across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Events: Support and attend DeVry’s annual commencement weekend events through brand activation efforts, campaign development, videos, testimonials, and on-site execution.
  • Agency & contractor management: Manage relationships with external agencies, contractors, production partners, and vendors, providing strategic direction, feedback, and oversight to ensure high-quality work, brand alignment, and strong performance.

Requirements

  • Work Experience: 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, integrated marketing, advertising, communications, or related fields
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Strategy & Analytics: Demonstrated ability to develop brand and campaign strategies, translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans, leverage consumer and competitive insights, monitor brand health and audience perception metrics, and use performance data to drive optimization, decision-making, and measurable business results
  • Leadership: Experience leading projects, managing agency and contractor relationships, influencing stakeholders, and driving alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Software: Experience using project management and workflow tools such as Asana, Jira, Monday.com, Workfront, or similar platforms. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • AI: Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools responsibly and effectively to enhance productivity, research, ideation, campaign planning, content development, and workflow efficiency while maintaining quality, accuracy, compliance, and brand standards
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and project management skills with the ability to think strategically, lead creatively, collaborate cross-functionally, solve problems, bring structure and clarity to complex workstreams, influence stakeholders, and consistently deliver high-quality, innovative work in a fast-paced environment
