Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth on mid and long term strategic initiatives with AI research and open source communities on the Annapurna Labs ML team.
  • Focus on understanding influential AI researcher and open source community needs and how to onboard them to AWS AI Chips.
  • Understand business needs, identify relevant academic research, and measure innovation value to guide investment decisions.
  • Work closely with other GTM specialists in the team and across AWS to promote, attract and drive AI researcher and open source community growth.
  • Identify strategic opportunities, evaluate academic research solutions, and establish processes to measure ongoing investments.
  • Interact, communicate, and partner with teams within AWS (product, solutions architecture, sales, marketing, and professional services) and externally with customers and 3rd party model providers.
  • Lead and drive engagements with Academic AI researchers and open source communities; articulate benefits of deep learning and GenAI-related services to data scientists and academics; understand GenAI market trends and opportunities; promote market development and evangelism.
  • Represent your team to executive management and interact with services teams, field solutions architecture, sales, and marketing within AWS

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology
  • 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
  • Experience using managed ML/AI solutions
  • Experience working cross functionally across several teams
  • Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery, or experience with training and deploying machine learning systems to solve large-scale optimizations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts

Preferred

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
  • 7+ Experience working with AI Researchers, Academic programs, and Open Source communities
  • 7+ Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and managing stake holders
  • 7+ Experience with GenAI/LLM in a business development/partner capacity.
