Job Summary

Own the end-to-end programmatic monetization stack for a major publisher, steering strategy, yield, partnerships, and GTM integration across web, apps, video, and emerging formats.

  • Growth & Monetization: Own the enterprise programmatic strategy from supply path to addressability, coordinating with Finance and Product on forecasts and pricing.
  • Operations & Leadership: Lead a senior team in Revenue Ops and Sales Enablement to optimize yield and performance.
  • Partnerships & Trust: Negotiate with SSPs/DSPs and build a rigorous partner framework focused on transparency and efficiency.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy: Develop and execute the enterprise programmatic monetization strategy across Web, App, Video, Newsletter, and Audio, driving ad tech innovation and privacy-safe addressability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor managers and analysts to elevate Revenue Operations and Sales Enablement performance.
  • Executive & Cross-Functional Influence: Advise executives on programmatic trends and partner with Finance, Strategy, and Product on forecasting, pricing models, and operating planning.
  • Yield & Optimization: Own programmatic yield, rate cards, and day-to-day optimization across direct-sold, PMP, and open exchange.
  • Advanced Partner Diligence & Negotiation: Lead high-level negotiations with SSPs, DSPs, and tech providers and build a partner evaluation framework.
  • Insights & Analytics: Build dashboards and a measurement framework to evaluate market trends and supply/demand dynamics.
  • Go-To-Market Integration: Align programmatic offerings with Direct Sales and Product Marketing to integrate into the broader commercial strategy.
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Represent the programmatic strategy at industry events and with trade organizations.
  • Quality Assurance: Support data reconciliation and QA across programmatic data sources and audit ad experiences.
  • Demonstrate support for journalistic independence and the mission to seek the truth.
