  • Produce and direct content across formats and manage freelancers

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Owning the editorial calendar and content roadmap end to end, from strategy to what actually ships
  • Setting the voice and point of view for Arc, and making sure it holds up whether you're talking to a boat owner or a commercial partner
  • Producing and directing content across every format: long-form, video, social, scripts, web, and campaign assets
  • Briefing and managing freelance contractor to keep quality high without slowing down
  • Partnering with Creative on production and with Brand on positioning, so content always reflects where the company is headed, not just what's next on the calendar
  • Shaping product marketing narrative, turning launches and technical milestones into stories people actually want to follow
  • Watching what performs and moving fast to do more of it

Requirements

  • 5+ years creating content for a brand with a technical, complex, or category-defining product
  • A portfolio that shows real range, sharp writing, strong creative direction, and at least a few pieces that actually broke through
  • Experience owning voice and editorial strategy for a brand across more than one audience, ideally spanning consumer and technical or B2B content
  • Strong editorial judgment, with the instinct to know what's worth shipping and what isn't
  • Experience directing and briefing freelance or contract talent, not just producing everything yourself
  • A bias for shipping. You publish, learn, and iterate rather than wait for perfect
  • Comfortable moving fast in an environment where priorities shift and most people wear more than one hat

Preferred

  • Experience in maritime, deep tech, or advanced hardware
  • Background at a company where the product was ahead of the market's understanding of it
  • Familiarity with premium consumer brands or EV
  • Comfortable pushing a fast but sustainable pace
  • Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy

Benefits

  • Healthcare benefits — 99% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision
  • Parental leave — 14 weeks fully paid for birthing and non-birthing parents
  • Generous time off — Highly competitive PTO with an opportunity to earn more time with tenure
  • Income protection — Life and disability insurance for all employees
  • Retirement savings — Traditional and Roth 401(k) access
  • Water fund — $500 for you to spend each year to get out on the water, however you choose
  • Professional development — $500 annual reimbursement for professional development and a monthly AI stipend
  • Safety Support- Annual reimbursement for PPE, ergonomic equipment and anything that ensures we keep our crew safe
  • Captain training — Training and access to take Arcboats out with friends and family
  • Office perks — Daily lunches, snacks, and good coffee while onsite
