Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design Proficiency - Apply brand systems, typography, photography, color and other elements appropriately to create inventive solutions that meet user and client needs
  • Design Proficiency - Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables
  • Digital Execution - Visualize, design and conceptualize effective interactive design
  • Digital Execution - Partner with our leading-edge user experience team to utilize current trends and UX best practices across projects
  • Digital Execution - Apply UI design practices to translate wireframes into actionable designs
  • Digital Execution - Keep up with current trends in the digital space
  • Creative Ideation - Concept BIG ideas in line with brand objectives to support in brand planning efforts
  • Creative Ideation - Develop and manage elevating the creative product, through both traditional and digital channels
  • Creative Ideation - Interpret key scientific information, brand messages and data and translate into simplified, clear visual designs
  • Collaboration - Collaborate with creative, digital, strategy, account, medical and business development teams to support new business opportunities and product offerings

Requirements

  • Educational Background: BFA/MA/MFA in Graphic Design, or a similar discipline
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and a strong grasp of typography , layout , and visual storytelling as applied to life science communications
  • Experience working in Adobe XD, Sketch, and/or Figma
  • 3-4 years of experience within the life science communications field
  • A strong creative portfolio demonstrating a passion for design that shows your ability to lead and own the visual design for multiple brands across various channels (not just one-off executions)
  • A strong background in creative problem solving, strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution
  • Experience with responsive design, content platforms, interactive experiences, and mobile applications
  • Experience ideating, concepting, visual storytelling/storyboarding for live action or animated videos
  • Ability to articulate creative concepts and present the rationale to team and/or client
  • Ability to think and respond quickly, maintaining attention to detail on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills; an ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail

Preferred

  • Knowledge of After Effects (or other animation software) a plus
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint/Keynote a plus
