Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing various data sources—Google Search Console, Google Analytics, keyword research tools, and LLM SaaS tools— to create multimedia content strategies that drive visibility and engagement.
  • Leading client projects, driving the strategic direction and decisions
  • Optimizing existing webpages and writing new content, including academic program pages, blog posts, and thought leadership, to enhance search and AI engine visibility and citations.
  • Optimizing images, videos, and Google Business Profiles.
  • Analyzing performance, creating Google Looker Studio dashboards, and presenting strategic results to clients.
  • Leading AEO and SEO Workshops for large groups of people in a virtual environment.
  • Innovating new solutions and strategies for utilizing AI to drive efficiency and output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in professional writing and SEO
  • Strong editorial and communication skills
  • Some technical SEO knowledge
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Looker Studio
  • Excellent organization and time management skills are a must in this role, as you will work with several institutions at once and meet various deadlines for each.

Preferred

  • Experience with or a passion for higher education marketing
  • Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
