Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with development, publishing, and partner teams on timelines, assets, and media support for major Battle.net releases.
  • Execute media outreach, announcements, and asset distribution to core PC and technology press.
  • Contribute to and oversee comms contributions for multi-disciplinary GTM (go-to-market) plans.
  • Draft, edit, and review external and internal communications materials supporting Battle.net launches and platform initiatives.
  • Support Battle.net platform PR strategy, including proactive storytelling and thought‑leadership opportunities.
  • Support Battle.net’s media presence at key industry events, e.g. BlizzCon, Xbox Showcase, GDC.
  • Contribute to editorial messaging for Battle.net’s across multiple owned and operated Blizzard and Xbox channels. Coordinate logistics and approvals for cross-team PR editorial efforts.
  • Plan, create, and track social content for Battle.net, including Xbox 1P and Activision games, promotional sales, and evergreen posts highlighting games, features, and Battle.net culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in PR, journalism or copywriting, preferably in gaming, technology, or media.
  • Strong media relationships and experience with media outreach, interviews, and event staffing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Familiarity with the latest media trends, communication tools, and technology.
  • Passion for gaming, technology, entertainment, and Blizzard Entertainment is a major plus.

Preferred

  • Experience with managing public facing corporate channels, e.g. blogs, social media, website.
  • Solid contacts in video gaming, technology, entertainment, lifestyle, and sports media.
  • Experience supporting large-scale platform launches and cross-functional teams.
