Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage all tasks, projects, and functions of accounts
- Complete communication initiatives
- Apply interpersonal, conceptual, problem solving, consulting and teaching skills
- Manage and improve media relations
- Edit and ensure the quality of media materials
- Understand the focus and needs of the clients; anticipate client needs in advance
- Identify hot topics for the client and monitor trends; proactively initiating coverage
- Initiate, prepare and attend client meetings
- Develop a variety of press materials including timelines, press releases, media alerts, photo captions, client memos, pitch letters, status reports, and gossip items
- Proactively identify issues as part of media relations and recommend solutions/media opportunities
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree is preferred
- 2-3 years minimum experience in public relations
- Travel required? (As Needed)
