Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Assist with projects led by the Vice President of Public Relations (events, seminars, receptions, speeches)
  • Take pictures and videos at Agency events for social media
  • Assist in managing the Agency’s website and social platforms
  • Promote events and programs on social media and the DCHFA events calendar
  • Engage users by responding to posts and comments on social media
  • Collaborate with the website provider to keep information up-to-date
  • Post updates and announcements to invite conversation
  • Create content and update social accounts with current photos and videos
  • Research relevant articles, stories, videos, and content for the Agency’s mission
  • Propose innovative ways to grow the Agency’s audience on social media
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university seeking an undergraduate and/or graduate degree
  • Have at least a 3.00 grade point average
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong photography and video production skills
  • Experience with basic photo-editing software
  • Experience with graphic design
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/Premier) a plus
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Hootsuite)
