Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce, shoot, edit and post videos and other content for County social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
  • Research and compose original social media video scripts.
  • Direct, rehearse, edit and record social media videos.
  • Coordinate activities in the studio and on remote locations.
  • Monitor social media and provide effective feedback on social listening to strategically support the County’s social engagement.
  • Organize and oversee all facets of operations utilizing the most efficient and effective means.
  • Train and oversee the activities of employees and contractors involved in production activities.
  • Create and administer outreach and promotion efforts for social media programming.
  • Serve as liaison with other County departments and the public.
  • Establish shoots, schedule guests, and perform subject research.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college course work in Journalism, Communications, Public Information, or a field related to the work AND two (2) years of experience in video production for social media and social media content creation.
  • Success as a content creator for social media is desirable.
  • Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application.   • Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
  • Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
  • Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
  • Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.
