Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Writing and revising product copy, feature and benefit copy, and product descriptions for websites, launch materials, and sales collateral
  • Creating and maintaining product manuals, installation guides, quick-start guides, and other customer-facing documentation
  • Turning rough technical notes, engineering input, product specs, and installation steps into clear, organized written content
  • Interviewing internal subject matter experts and gathering information from R&D, tech support, sales, and leadership
  • Writing blog posts, tech articles, educational content, and other long-form pieces that help customers understand products and applications
  • Assisting with written content for email campaigns and other marketing initiatives
  • Formatting documents in tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Canva, or similar platforms, including adding images, captions, callouts, tables, and step-by-step visuals where needed
  • Reviewing content for grammar, clarity, consistency, accuracy, and brand voice before publication
  • Helping identify where visuals should be used to improve clarity and storytelling, even if you are not the one creating the images
  • Collaborating across departments to keep content technically accurate, customer-friendly, and on-brand

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong grammar, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Ability to take technical or incomplete information and turn it into clear, polished writing
  • Ability to think like a customer and anticipate common questions, objections, and points of confusion
  • Comfortable collaborating with coworkers, asking follow-up questions, and gathering information from subject matter experts
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of the final output, especially if using AI tools
  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or similar document tools
  • Ability to insert and organize images, screenshots, and supporting visuals into documents and marketing materials
  • Interest in cars and automotive culture, with a willingness to learn technical product knowledge
  • Comfortable speaking with coworkers, customers, and event attendees in a professional way

Nice To Have

  • Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Experience writing product copy, manuals, technical documentation, blog posts, articles, or email content
  • Experience in automotive, powersports, performance aftermarket, manufacturing, or other technical product industries
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Canva, Google Docs, or similar layout tools
  • Basic understanding of photography, videography, or visual storytelling
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for blog and website content
  • Experience using AI writing tools as part of a workflow while still taking responsibility for fact-checking, editing, and final quality
