Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build audience-right media strategies, with a focus on new and emerging storytelling platforms and experiences to help Nike amplify the brand’s reach.
  • Create and drive cultural impact and influence through an ecosystem of media, creators, sport, entertainment and culture in Los Angeles and nationally.
  • Lead, redefine, cultivate, and develop expressions of sport and style that challenge convention and permeate culture in new and inventive ways.
  • Ignite purposeful conversations around Nike’s most powerful stories and help build new, innovative and creative networks and platforms for conversation.
  • Cultivate a forward-looking approach to communications strategies that leverage the ever-changing integrated media and highly engaged consumer landscape.
  • Collaborate with communications peers and cross-functional partners to build and activate Los Angeles as a cultural engine.

Requirements

  • Open to work in Los Angeles, CA.
  • 7+years of experience in communications, or related functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Demonstrated background in communications, media strategy, relationship management, and narrative development.
  • Experience partnering with agencies; deep LA media relationships.

Preferred

  • A passion for sport, an ability to deliver new ways of thinking, and a desire to deepen and evolve Nike's sport-culture relationship with new audiences and consumers.
