Job Description

Responsibilities

Build audience-right media strategies, with a focus on new and emerging storytelling platforms and experiences to help Nike amplify the brand’s reach.
Create and drive cultural impact and influence through an ecosystem of media, creators, sport, entertainment and culture in Los Angeles and nationally.
Lead, redefine, cultivate, and develop expressions of sport and style that challenge convention and permeate culture in new and inventive ways.
Ignite purposeful conversations around Nike’s most powerful stories and help build new, innovative and creative networks and platforms for conversation.
Cultivate a forward-looking approach to communications strategies that leverage the ever-changing integrated media and highly engaged consumer landscape.
Collaborate with communications peers and cross-functional partners to build and activate Los Angeles as a cultural engine.

Requirements

Open to work in Los Angeles, CA.
7+years of experience in communications, or related functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
Demonstrated background in communications, media strategy, relationship management, and narrative development.
Experience partnering with agencies; deep LA media relationships.

Preferred

A passion for sport, an ability to deliver new ways of thinking, and a desire to deepen and evolve Nike's sport-culture relationship with new audiences and consumers.
