This Role Offers A great work/life balance No weekends or evenings – Monday thru Friday Paid holidays and paid time off Rapidity growing team with opportunities for advancement Competitive compensation Benefits package Duties You Will Be Responsible For Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Access Center Representative is responsible for accurately and efficiently answering and completing calls that are received from patients, their caregiver, relatives and other members of the healthcare team while providing the highest level of customer service. This involves scheduling patient appointments, prioritizing patients’ health problems according to their urgency. Excellent customer service skills coupled with enthusiasm and compassion is required. Scheduling appointments- Accurate data input of date, time, location and provider name High use of Telephone – Answer calls immediately, use of proper telephone etiquette, professional and politeness always o Remind Caller to arrive 15 to 30 minutes before appointment for completion of paperwork. Remind caller of cancellation/no-show policy Answer questions and offer other information as requested by the patient Direct calls to other departments in a calm demeanor and good judgement dealing with disgruntled patients Make reminder calls as requested Make rescheduling calls when required Understand when to escalate calls to triage nurse/practice manager or physician when necessary. Minimum Requirements A high school degree or GED is required for this position. One year of experience in customer service and/or related clinical environment; working knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
