Job Summary

Own the ingest pipeline health and incident triage for media supply chain, ensuring assets are reviewed, metadata is normalized, and deadlines are met.

  • Ingest & Encoding Reliability: Own the health of the encoding pipeline and A/V, XML, and caption workflows from intake to review.
  • Issue Triage & Collaboration: Coordinate with external partners and escalate incidents to the right tech teams to keep deadlines.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain procedures and train the team on ingest workflows and metadata standards.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter and technical expert for supply chain operations
  • Review audio/visual content against strict deadlines
  • Coordinate with external partners to fix content to ensure deadlines are met
  • Research and normalize metadata
  • Create tracking tickets for assets that need remediation and follow them to completion
  • Provide technical expertise for content issues with A/V, XML, and timed text
  • Monitor the health of the encoding pipeline and provide technical and operational support
  • Identify and triage internal incidents, escalating them to the appropriate technical teams in a timely manner
  • Update documentation and train team members on procedures
  • Provide ongoing status of the overall health of the ingest pipeline to senior staff

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong knowledge of video codecs and encoding
  • Familiarity with video streaming, specifically HLS
  • Understanding of closed captions and subtitles
  • Understanding of XML and/or JSON structure
  • Knowledge of industry standard delivery specifications such as Cable Labs and Movie Labs
  • Previous Experience supporting a VOD workflow or Digital Asset Management system
  • Strong organizational skills, must be able to track large scale projects
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail

Preferred

  • Background in video or film is preferred
  • Experience in Quality Control department
  • Knowledge of Aspera or other advanced delivery systems
  • Spanish language proficiency
