Job Description
Support media relations at Alliance Defending Freedom as an unpaid DC internship for a journalism or communications student, helping with pitches, media tracking, and drafting press materials.
- Attend media training sessions with attorneys and clients.
- Assist in drafting media pitches.
- Track media interviews; compile media reports.
- Assist in creating Media Kits.
- Assist in building Press Lists.
- Research and flag relevant articles for pitching opportunities.
- Summarize news of the day.
- Monitor media inbox and the news cycle.
- Assist with scheduling media meetings and interviews.
- Assist with getting approval on press statements.
- Must-have: Current college student interested in journalism, media, or communications work.
- Must-have: Proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Standout: Knowledge and/or experience in Constitutional Law and Media Relations
- Standout: On-site internship located in Washington, DC
