  • Campaign ownership: ideate, plan, and resource in-market activations from concept to completion.
  • Research & insights: leverage AI tools to map consumer segments and competitive landscape for better targeting.
  • Brand expression: draft briefs, positioning, and creative concepts to shape on-campus and off-campus presence.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the Mission: Ideate, plan, and resource in-market campaigns & activations. You aren’t just attending the event; you’re coming up with new ideas, planning their execution, and making sure it runs seamlessly from concept to completion.
  • Market Research: Use AI-assisted tools and in-market research to conduct deep-dive research into consumer segments and competitors, helping us stay three steps ahead of the competition.
  • Architect: Draft campaign briefs, positioning summaries, and creative concepts that define how our brand shows up in the wild.
  • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for on-campus and off-campus entities, building the relationships that make our marketing activities possible.
  • Executive Visibility: You won’t just do the work; you’ll report on it. You will prepare executive-ready summaries and present your planning materials directly to leadership.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at the University of Miami (FL) in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on Business, Sports Marketing or Administration, Interactive Media, Entrepreneurship, Public Relations, Advertising, or Communications
  • GPA of 3.3 or above
  • Coursework in sports marketing, experiential marketing, brand marketing, community-based marketing, operations, and/or innovation
  • Strong communication, structured thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Interest or current education focus in field marketing, experiential branding, or regional marketing strategy
  • Interest in telecom, media, wireless, or digital platforms is a plus
  • Must be based in the Miami area for the duration of the program
  • Capability to fulfill duties through remote work, field-based activities, or occasional travel as necessary
  • Able to complete a pre-employment screen including a reference check and criminal background check
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Preferred

  • Interest in telecom, media, wireless, or digital platforms is a plus
  • Intermediate AI literacy (ChatGPT, analytics tools, AI-assisted research/content)
  • Experience producing digital content for internet and social media platforms
  • Analytical experience in using data to drive decision making
  • Roll-up-the-sleeves mentality with comfort moving between executive settings and field events
