Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage the proposal process from opportunity assessment through final submission.
  • Develop, write, edit, format, and assemble responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), grant applications, and other procurement documents.
  • Create proposal schedules, establish internal deadlines, and coordinate deliverables from multiple contributors.
  • Review solicitation documents and client requirements to ensure complete and compliant submissions.
  • Research client organizations, project opportunities, procurement requirements, and industry trends to support proposal development.
  • Coordinate and compile technical, financial, legal, insurance, bonding, and administrative documentation required for submissions.
  • Prepare, package, and submit electronic and hard-copy proposals in accordance with client specifications.
  • Maintain proposal content libraries, templates, resumes, case studies, reference materials, graphics, project photos, and other business development resources.
  • Support continuous improvement of proposal processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Track proposal metrics, opportunity pipelines, marketing activities, and business development data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three – five (3-5) years of experience and knowledge of the A|E|C industries, specifically Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), is highly preferred.
  • Experience with AI such as ChatGPT, Claude, and/or Gemini, and proposal management systems such as QorusDocs, or Qvidian is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Energy Performance Contracting field is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills are preferred.
  • Experience in the use of multimedia and creativity software products, especially Adobe Suite software (i.e., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) to design proposals, coversheets, brochures, and advertisements, is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel by car and plane.
  • Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
  • Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload, prioritize tasks. and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
