Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support development of relationships with local organizations, sponsors, and community leaders to foster partnerships and increase the company’s visibility.
  • Represent the restaurant at community events, festivals, and meetings to strengthen community ties and promote the brand.
  • Collaborate with the charitable arm of the organization to support and execute fundraising events, donation drives, and other initiatives.
  • Support the data collection and tracking of impact of community partnerships and sponsorships to measure ROI and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Personally work catering and vending events ensuring seamless operations and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Training and support staff executing full service catering.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory, smallwares, and catering equipment for offsite events.
  • Follow Bear’s catering standards in relation to uniform, food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Serve as hospitality point person on high volume days (nights and weekends) ensuring onsite activities such as live music, vendors, and games are operating as expected
  • Support the development of an annual calendar of events, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, event planning and/or community outreach focused position, with preference given to candidates with experience in the restaurant, catering or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools (e.g., Eventbrite, Caterzen) and office software (e.g., Google Workspace).
  • Successful completion of company training program, including mandatory sexual harassment training within 8 weeks of start date.
  • ServSafe certification - must have or obtain within 8 weeks of start date and maintain certification throughout the course of employment.
  • TIPS alcohol certification - must have or obtain within 8 weeks of start date and maintain certification throughout the course of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend off-site meetings and events, and drive company vehicles as needed.
  • Proof of personal insurance that meets company requirements.
  • Clear motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles, including large vans and trucks.
