  • Media and events: lead local and national press relations with leadership to lift editorial coverage and audience reach.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute all communications, advertising, and marketing for Art Center programs including exhibitions, education programs, public programs, Art Center Cinema, Membership campaigns, and Fundraising.
Oversee media relations with the Executive Director to raise the Art Center’s profile in local and national editorial press (print, broadcast, and electronic).
Implement and maintain the Art Center’s visual brand identity to create a unified communications message across all platforms.
Coordinate all print and electronic promotional materials from concept to distribution, including editing, production, mailings, and delivery.
Manage and maintain the Art Center’s website and social media sites in collaboration with staff and volunteers.
Photograph and document events, classes, and exhibitions; create video content for marketing and social media.
Oversee and maintain signage and display information (bulletin boards, digital signage) at all Art Center facilities.
Monitor press coverage and review local press daily.
Maintain an archive of all Art Center communications material, press clippings, and related material.
Maintain online ticketing sites for special events, cinema, and classes.
Perform general customer service as necessary; supervise interns and other staff assigned marketing and customer service duties.

The Art Center has three distinct facilities: the main location, which houses over 3,300 square feet of galleries, a 2,700 square feet education wing, and administrative offices; the Art Center Cinema, a ninety-two-seat theater for first run independent, documentary, and international films; and the Warehouse, a 4,500 square feet living and working space for artists-in-residence and education studio for all of our art classes.
