Job Summary

Own social and community communications for a nonprofit, shaping multi-channel strategy, content production, and donor-facing outreach to drive awareness and fundraising impact.

  • Social strategy ownership: build programs across platforms and track engagement and growth.
  • Content creation and publishing: design graphics, captions, multimedia, and schedule posts with a consistent brand voice.
  • Fundraising and external communications support: assist events, donor communications, grant work, and partner outreach.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and support.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content across all social media platforms.
  • Design graphics, write captions, and develop multimedia content, including photography and video.
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries.
  • Track analytics and provide reports on social media performance and audience growth.
  • Manage paid social media advertising campaigns and promotions.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all digital channels.
  • Assist with the creation of GCKH external communication pieces for image, brand, editing, and consistency. This includes but is not limited to presentations, brochures, flyers, newsletters, advertisements, signs, mass distribution letters, e-blasts, statement stuffers, posters, and any other external communication pieces.
  • Assist in writing compelling donor, sponsor, volunteer, and community communications.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns and audience segmentation.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Communications, or other related degree field and leadership experience with 2 to 5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing and/or sales.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and business writing skills and presentation skills.

As a children's advocacy center, we combine all of the professionals and resources needed for the intervention, investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases under one child-friendly facility. Child victims and their families also receive mental health counseling at our center. The goal of Gulf Coast Kid's House is to form a more collaborative response to child abuse cases so that we can improve case outcomes and minimize trauma to the children and families we serve.
