Job Summary

Support content creation, community engagement, and event logistics to advance opportunities for people with disabilities, balancing storytelling, donor stewardship, and outreach while maintaining calendars and assets.

  • Content & Communications: Assist with social media, newsletters, blogs, and website updates to share programs and success stories.
  • Engagement & Outreach: Support donor communications, stewardship, and community partnerships, coordinating stories and materials.
  • Events & Campaigns: Aid planning, logistics, and follow-up for fundraising events, trainings, and community activities.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and scheduling social media content for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Support development of newsletters and email campaigns through Constant Contact
  • Help capture visual content by photographing and filming programs, events, and community activities
  • Assist with drafting blogs, website updates, flyers, and promotional materials
  • Coordinate with program staff to gather stories, success highlights, employment updates, and community partnership content
  • Help maintain content calendars and organize digital assets
  • Assist with tracking social media engagement and campaign analytics
  • Support website updates and SEO tagging for blog and web content
  • Ensure proper photo and media consents are on file prior to publishing content
  • Donor & Community Engagement: Assist with donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship communications

Preferred

  • Current college student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Graphic Design, Journalism, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design platforms preferred
  • Interest in nonprofit work, disability services, or community engagement
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Photography, videography, or content creation experience is a plus
