Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Automation Specialist handles the day-to-day function of the automation channel as well as fostering improvement and growth.
  • The Specialist works with multiple departments, i.e. Digital Marketing, Product Management, Events, etc., to meet their communication needs.
  • Execution of campaigns includes sending emails to new prospects, reengaging with existing dormant customers, promoting company events, and more.
  • The Specialist improves the effectiveness of the email channel, properly selecting the right audience for each campaign, to increase user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Additionally, the Marketing Automation Specialist contributes to the company’s digital lead generation activities.
  • Working cross-functionally, the Specialist works with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to capture leads on the websites.
  • The Specialist creates lead capture forms for deployment on the sites - working to improve conversion rates, increasing the number of leads generated, as well as maintaining the quality of the leads.
  • Executes company and vendor partner email promotion and communication activities.
  • Implements email marketing campaigns
  • Works with Creative to craft engaging communications and meet deadlines – proofread emails for clarity, create compelling CTAs (A/B test as needed); deploy emails through Marketo

Requirements

  • Hands-on use of email marketing platform Marketo.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including v-lookup, and pivot tables.
  • Working knowledge of creating and implementing lead capture forms.
  • Basic understanding of Marketing Automation solutions.
  • Basic understanding of website architecture and basic web development skills, including HTML/CSS and CMS systems, with ability to engage with the development team.
  • Understanding of email marketing strategies and experience with campaign execution, including brand/product awareness, lead generation, and transactional campaigns.
  • Analytical skills with ability to monitor email channel performance, quantify and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analytical (data-driven) approach to plan, execute, and review email and lead generation improvement projects.
  • Collaboration skills with ability to work with external vendors and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Communication skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
