Job Summary

Own the regional marketing and communications agenda in a healthcare market, with direct leadership of a 7-person team shaping media, PR, social, internal and external comms, and brand at the Central Valley scale.

  • Own strategic marketing and communications planning aligned with local hospital priorities and market needs.
  • Lead a cross-functional team delivering media relations, advertising, social, internal/external comms, PR, and brand management.
  • Collaborate with Market Executives and hospital leadership to translate local priorities into annual plans and programs.

Job Description

  • In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the California Region VP of Marketing and Communications, and will be instrumental in developing, shaping, and executing marketing and communication strategies and plans within the Central Valley Market.
  • You will work with Market Executives and Hospital leadership teams to establish annual marketing and communications strategies aligned with local strategic plans and overall market priorities and services.
  • You will also lead a team of 7 Marketing and Communications staff to oversee functions including media relations, advertising, social media, internal communication, external communications, public relations, and brand/reputation management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans, including reputation management strategies.
