Job Summary

Own brand-aligned storytelling and social programs to lift the Foundation’s online presence, across multiple platforms, with close collaboration to a senior communications lead and a focus on audience engagement in the social media, newsletters, and outreach workflows.

  • Brand and content ownership: shape visuals and copy to fit editorial style and protect identity.
  • Social program execution: build and run cross-platform strategies, schedule posts, and optimize engagement.
  • Stakeholder and channel integration: coordinate with communications, manage newsletters, media databases, and respond to inquiries.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Uphold World Food Prize Foundation image online and ensure materials align with brand/editorial style.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Strategic Communications on a range of tasks.
  • Create visual and written materials aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram to boost engagement.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to promote programs and events.
  • Schedule posts on the Foundation's social media platforms.
  • Write and design e-newsletters aligned with Foundation language and objectives.
  • Use marketing platforms such as Sprout Social, Meltwater, Constant Contact, and Salesforce.
  • Amplify and share the Foundation's stories with strategic storytelling.
  • Keep up with latest trends and best practices to enhance online presence.
  • Ensure materials meet platform-specific requirements across channels.
  • Communicate promptly with the public on inquiries via social media.
  • Maintain press and media database for newsletters.
  • Track project deadlines, progress, and collaborators in organizational database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in communications or related field; 3-5 years preferred; 6-8 years may substitute.
  • Graphic design experience required; video editing desirable.
  • Non-profit/foundation experience and food and agriculture sector exposure desired.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders including donors, government officials, agency leaders, and experts.
  • Guest/customer services experience in cultural or corporate environments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills; ability to stay calm under pressure.
